Naval Station Great Lakes
The No Dough took place on 2-21-20 at the Great Lakes Community Center in North Chicago. Despite the cold, 307 sailors and their families came to the Community Center where they were served a delicious dinner of chicken and pulled pork from Texas Roadhouse.
Thank you to the following volunteers for their gift of gracious hospitality: Edith Rasmussen Ahern, Peggy Bodine, Freddie Hayes, Phoebe McMillan, Nancy Schultz, Nina Strnad, and Elicia Tippens. Their warm smiles and good cheer perfectly complimented the hearty fare on a cold Friday night!
Special recognition goes to Peggy Bodine, who drove in rush hour traffic from her home Chicago to the Great Lakes Community Center in North Chicago (a distance of 35 miles) to serve at the No Dough.
