Did someone say there was a party?
The Annual Dinner-Dance hosted by the Society of Colonial Wars in the State of Illinois (SCW-IL) was held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest. It was a beautiful evening beginning with cocktails on the terrace followed by a delicious surf & turf dinner and dancing. SCW-IL Governor Alexander B. Jacobs and Dinner Dance Chair R. Cabbell Morris welcomed the 64 guests and introduced Illinois Society President Courtenay Wood who also gave welcoming remarks.
Things we learnt from the Onwentsia Dinner-Dance: 1) Dames know how to dress. 2) Warriors know exactly how to get everyone moving and shaking. And they dress dapper well! 3) There is no such thing as too many photos. 4) Everyone loves this annual Warriors-Dames event.
