Movies in the Parks 2019 series brought the Chicago community together to enjoy the award-winning film Jane Eyre, an iconic Charlotte Brontë oeuvre that is delightfully entertaining. Clarke House Museum’s adjacent Chicago Women’s Park was again a perfect spot to enjoy an evening under the stars for this outdoor film screening.
As reception hosts, museum docents and co-underwriters, the Illinois Society was pleased to be part of this community outreach to showcase Clarke House, our museum property with such extraordinary pedigree. On hand to help for this joy-filled summer’s eve were Dames Peggy Snorf, Cami Burgess, Carla Carstens, Freddie Hayes, Marilyn Helmholz, Susie Kealy, Claudia Lane and candidate Laurel Gray.
