Genealogy Workshop and Lunch

at the home of Priscilla Barlow

Monday, April 8, 2019

Our genealogy workshop was back, courtesy Dame Priscilla Barlow.  Today saw a few of our wonderful candidates come together to complete their Dames applications.  The meeting comprised a delightful lunch and the chance to immerse in genealogy — with the aim of revisiting, jumpstarting or finalizing Dames’ applications.  Thank you to Priscilla for organizing this gathering and to Cary Stone-Greenstein and Claudia Lane for being available to help.

To remind our proposers and endorsers, should their candidates require help with their application, we have Candidates’ Helpers to further assist.  Additionally, Candidates’ Helpers “Office” Hours are on the second Saturday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., when Priscilla meets with any interested candidates on a drop-in basis at the Starbucks at the Plaza del Lago in Wilmette.

We look forward to when application papers are finalized so that we can welcome new members to the Illinois Society.  We ask that every proposer and endorser encourage their candidates to complete their applications as soon as possible.
