125th Annual Meeting of The NSCDA-IL
Celebrating our Successes: A Year Less Ordinary!
Traditionally held at the close of the year, the Annual Meeting of The NSCDA-IL celebrates our extraordinary Corporate Society and honors Dames for their accomplishments. This historic event took place as a hybrid event, with dual attendance options to accommodate in-person and live virtual meeting preferences.
Twenty Dames and guests gathered at the Fortnightly and close to forty participated remotely on Wednesday, May 5. The event kicked-off at 10:00 a.m. with a special pre-program social half-hour, followed by a business meeting hosted by President Claudia Lane. In a ceremonial passing of the gavel, Claudia recognized incoming president Winifred (Freddie) Hayes.
The featured program included a screening of the City of Chicago’s newly released film on Clarke House Museum and remarks by guest Zhen Heinemann, Director of Visitor Experience, Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events for the City of Chicago.
For those attending in-person, a celebratory lunch capped off a year less ordinary.
